Our Teaching Style

We teach foreign language just as any child would learn their own mother tongue: through Total Physical Response and Acquisition.

Children learn most naturally by physically having to responding to their teacher. For example, as we teach our babies to give us a kiss, we kiss them. By connecting the physical action to the concept, a child learns the new word. Babies and children also learn language one utterance, approximation, word and sentence at a time. They acquire language bit by bit.

At Polly-Glots, we have integrated this established methodology into our own proven forumla for foreign language learning in a classroom environment for different age groups.

We use a variety of develomentally age-approproate activities to introduce new themes and words. Games, music, crafts, stories all feature regularly in class.
