Class Schedule & Information
Methodology:
Our lively immersion classes integrate play, music, movement, and art to engage children and connect the foreign sounds and words to everyday items and activities. Quarterly themes are brought to life through music, stories, and games that are often familiar to parents and easy to repeat in the home.
We provide weekly vocabulary and lyrics so parents can reinforce the language outside of class, whether or not the parent has previous language experience or fluency.
Children learn quickly! To support them, we encourage parents to learn along with their children without translating during class. We open up the last five minutes of class to review material and have Q&A - in English.
Class Information
We are delighted you are interested in our classes. Learning another language is a rewarding and possibly life-changing experience. It is a real gift to your child and to yourself! Foreign language classes are taught by native-level speakers and are an immersion experience for both the child and adult. From the online parent portal, we provide materials for you to support your child's budding language skills at home between classes.
Winter 2011 Schedule
We will continue to offer classes in the Community Centers this winter 2011 quarter. As you may have heard, Seattle Parks Department is under budgetary review. Polly-Glot Tots classes will be offered at Miller, Hiawatha and Queen Anne Community Centers. In addition, we have classes on the Eastside in the North Kirkland Community Center.

We are thrilled to offer an expanded program this fall. Thanks to a new partnership with the Seattle Parks Department, we will offer programs in FIVE new Seattle Community Centers this September.

Schedule details:
Children must be accompanied by their adult or guardian at all times in class. Exception: afternoon drop off classes. Guardians are welcome to attend drop off classes, but it is not required.
- We allow class make-ups if you miss a class due to illness or for personal reasons. It is accepted and encouraged to make-up a class in a different language if your preferred language class is not available later that week.
- Late starts welcome if space is available. Tuition will be pro-rated.
Tuition and Refund Policy:
- A second child (i.e. sibling) or participation in a second class per week is entitled to either 10% discount or $20 price reduction as indicated per location.
- Your child's space is secure once payment is made via credit card, e-check or personal check.
- There is a non-refundable $25 fee for any cancellations minus the cost for classes attended, except when due to our cancellation of a class.
- We regret that we cannot offer a refund after the second week of classes.
